Ok so.. Let’s get something out of the way.. TRAVIS IS BACK! Yaaaay.. I was so happy when I heard there was going to be another book with Travis on it :).
That said.. Let’s talk about the book.
A beautiful wedding is the story of Travis and Abby’s weeding. How and why they did it, who knew about it and how they felt about it :). After going through all that mess with the fire and all those deaths, they decided to go to Vegas one more time and get married.
At first, I was a bit worried about Abby’s reasons, because even though they were valid and came out of pure concern about Travis, they kind of took away the romantic gesture that was created on the first book. So I was kind of scared that the book would turn out to be a disappointment. But at the end, was it ‘crazy? Yes. Wrong? No.’
I think this book is just ‘the story after the happy ending’, well kind of. Here you get to see they were both nervous, they both had reasons to do it, and they both were happy to do it. Travis was exceptionally excited, I thought it was so cute how he was all nervous and happy, but scared at the same time that she would freak out and leave him again, or that it was just all a dream. Because all he wanted was to be with Abby.
Abby, was all business at first. She had a mission to accomplish and she wouldn’t leave until it was done. But then, her head was getting in the way. She was, in fact, freaking out. She just needed a little push and of course, Travis, knowing he was doing it or not, helped her. He gave her something so valuable and important, she knew what she had and wanted to do. His mother’s letter was all the push she needed. I think it was in that moment she knew it was more than just about saving Travis, it was about being with the person who loved you the most. It was about getting a happy ending.
“When a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever”
I loved that letter.
On BD and WD, these two had to face a lot of ups and downs, but it only made them stronger as a couple, even the time they were apart. It just helped them understand they were perfect for each other. They were good for each other.
“This thing might turn out to be a completely wonderful, beautiful disaster, but I want that if that sits with you.”
The story about Travis and Abby is just wonderful. I love how they found and saved each other. The writing in this book was as good as it was with the other two. How their feelings are described.. It kind of feels like your part of the whole story, and I love that. This is a good book, not as good as the first two were, but only because the drama in this one isn’t as intense as in the other two. Aside. That, I think the story was good and cute. Enough to make me happy :).
