Series: The Wolves of Mercy Falls #3
Author: Maggie Stiefvater
Laura’s rating: 1 star
When Sam met Grace, he was a wolf and she was a girl. Eventually he found a way to become a boy, and their loved moved from curious distance to the intense closeness of shared lives.
That should have been the end of their story. But Grace was not meant to stay human. Now she is the wolf. And the wolves of Mercy Falls are about to be killed in one final, spectacular hunt.
Sam would do anything for Grace. But can one boy and one love really change a hostile, predatory world? The past, the present, and the future are about to collide in one pure moment–a moment of death or life, farewell or forever.
I honestly thought I would never finish this book, so much talking! It was endless. I just kept reading because I needed answers, but guess what? I didn’t get any.
I still have no clue if there is a definite cure to being a werewolf, we don’t know what exactly triggers it (even though we could have). All we are certain is that Sam and Grace are still in puppy love mode. SO BORING.
I have read some reviews about this book, and in most of them people hated Cole and Isabel’s POVs, my question is: Why? Was it because it offered a whole new view and feel from Sam’s mushy feelings? I got so tired of his teenage angst I was actually looking forward to Isabel’s moody replies and Cole’s (kind of) scientific talk. Because FYI, if it were not for those 2 everyone would be dead.
I’m going to finish this rant with: I can’t believe Maggie wrote this book, it doesn’t resemble The Raven Cycle flow and feel. I’m so disappointed.
