The last book. Wow, I never thought this series was going to affect me as much as it did. I was truly enthralled by the story and the characters. This series is now one of my absolute favorites.First of all, I’d like to say that I loved how each book is from a different POV. First you get to know Nate. Nate who is an amazing guy, devoted, passionate, creative, adorable, sweet, and the list goes on. Then
we get to know Emi a little better, but in this second book, you get to really know her, how she thinks and reacts. And then.. We get Jack. He’s such a good guy, you can’t help but like him and even love him. So, the fact that you can get to know these three characters as individuals makes the whole story a lot better. You can relate to all three of them. Well, I did anyway.
About the book. Well, in book 2 I knew Jack loved Emi. He was so sweet to her and considerate and reliable. It was obvious he was completely in love with her. But, in this book you know, for certain how important she really is to him. Sure, he truly was her rock, her stability. And all of this was tested when new complications appeared. Emi’s life wasn’t an easy one, but Jack stayed, he helped her get through it when no one else could. The only other person who could’ve helped her, wasn’t there. So I guess, no, I know, Jack was good for Emi and maybe, after everything that happened, he was the one for her. (But hey, don’t get the wrong idea, I’m only saying this because Nate wasn’t in the picture).
I loved the last couple of chapters. Especially the one where they meet Livvy. I’m sad I didn’t get to know her a little better, but I guess I’ll have to read the Choisie series for that :).
I’m sorry I’m not that much of a fan of Jack. I’m too attached to Nate. It’s not that I don’t like or love him, it’s just that my mind and heart was (still is) set on Nate.
Oh, I wanted to add something else. The writing of these three books is amazing. From the first book it captures you and can’t stop reading. Every little detail is amazingly described. Each character has his/her own personality, which are great, and the story’s development is perfect.
PS: I can’t wait to read Not Today, but Someday 🙂 I mean, I’m getting Nate back, even if it is just for a little while! I really, really, REALLY miss him.
