Review: The Light Dark of Day / La Oscuridad del día
Reviewer: Denisse

Last year I read the wonderfully dark story The Light Dark of Day;  from the moment I started reading T.M Frazier’s words took hold of my heart. She created a very unique story that is very dark,  brutal even, but the resilience and beauty of the characters only caused to inspired me.  She crafted this story in such a balanced manner, there’s equal parts of dark as there’s to light and you will find yourself helpless to render your heart to Jake and Abby’s story.

This month T.M Frazier  released the Spanish version of TDLOD, is called La Oscuridad del Dia  and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to read it again in my native language. I loved it just as much if not more because it makes very excited to  know that now even more people will be able to experience this remarkable story.

T.M. Frazier resides in sunny Southwest Florida with her husband and baby girl.

In the third grade she wrote her very first story about a lost hamster. It earned rave reviews from both her teacher and her parents although her spelling could have (and could still) use some help.

It only took her twenty years to start the next book.

The Dark Light of Day was her debut novel.

Dark Needs is the companion novella to The Dark Light of Day.

She’s currently  working on the highly anticipated novel King, due to release sometime this year.

She is very sweet and approachable and  LOVES talking books with her readers.

*****5++ Beautifully Broken Stars*****

tdlodYou know that feeling of fear mixed with excitement that you get in the pit of your stomach when riding an intense roller coaster? That’s exactly how I felt as I read every word in this novel, where beauty and love are found in a really dark place…

This book left me emotionally drained and yet I feel incredibly grateful to have experience such a beautiful story. There were times I had to stop and just cry, but as conflicted as I was feeling I couldn’t stop reading it. I fell utterly in love with Abby, her character was unlike any other I’ve read before, her resilience was completely inspiring. Both Jake and Abby were scarred by horrible events but they found solace and healing in each other, there were no games, no covers, just the raw emotions fueled by their love.

No matter how bad things would get for them, no matter how much time would pass they kept fighting, kept surviving. What was so amazing to me, was that both this characters were incredibly flawed and damaged yet they never tried to be anything else, and that was just beautiful; because sometimes the ugliest and most painful things could be totally enlightening and might bring beauty into a dark situation.

The Dark Light of Day is now going to that shelf inside my heart where my most unforgettable books live. Read it and meet the beautifully damaged love of Bee and Jake, Amazing!!!

****5 Estrellas*****
