Title: Finding Cinderella (Hopeless #2.5)
Author: Colleen Hoover
Daniela’s review: 5 stars
This novella is a companion novel to the Hopeless series, but can be read as a standalone.
A chance encounter in the dark leads eighteen-year-old Daniel and the girl who stumbles across him to profess their love for each other. But this love comes with conditions: they agree it will only last one hour and it will only be make-believe.
When their hour is up and the girl rushes off like Cinderella, Daniel tries to convince himself that what happened between them only seemed perfect because they were pretending it was
perfect. Moments like that with girls like her don’t happen outside of fairytales.
One year and one bad relationship later, his disbelief in insta-love is stripped away the day he meets Six: a girl with a strange name and an even stranger personality. Daniel soon realizes the way he pretended to feel about Cinderella and the way he really feels about Six may not be so different after all. Especially when the two loves of his life end up being one in the same.
Unfortunately for Daniel, finding Cinderella doesn’t guarantee their happily ever after…it only further threatens it.
This deserves a lot more than just 5 stars
“Stop! Stop saying things that make me grin like an idiot. My face has been hurting since the second I met you” – Six
Yeah, that sums it up. I was grinning the entire book.
Finding Cinderella is a companion novel to the Hopeless series. It reintroduces you to two characters that were on Hopeless and Losing Hope. Yes, I’m talking about Six and Daniel. When I first met Six, I thought she was hilarious, different and great. She was an amazing friend to Sky. Then, we have Daniel, who was also hilarious, everything he did was because he wanted to do it, never did anything for anyone but himself and his best friend Dean Holder. So of course there had to be a story that involved them. They were amazing as a couple, seriously, I just loved the way they were with each other, you could tell she meant a lot to him from the very first time he saw her. I loved them as a couple.
So yeah, the book was PHENOMENAL, but then again, I wasn’t expecting anything less than that, Colleen Hoover is AMAZING, there’s no other word for her. I just wished it had been longer. It’s just mean to give us a book this good but so short. I’m still happy it came out though. Daniel and Six are just perfect for each other <3… aaaand I’ve missed Holder and Sky :)!
Thank youuuuuu Colleen! For giving us another great story (it should’ve been longer, but I’ll forgive you just because it was reeeeeally good).
