Or at least that’s how it feels.
Don’t you hate it when life gets in the way, and then you get into this never-ending reading slump, and then you get swallowed by Netflix? Well, the Netflix part is not bad, only when it gets in the middle of you and your books.
It’s been a while since I finished a book, even more so since I wrote a review!!!!!
And guess what? I MISS IT.
Work has been a complete pain in the ass. Too many things to do, not that much time to do it. Chaos. Ugh. Then, the last book I read wasn’t what I was expecting. I mean, I liked it, but I had so many expectations. It didn’t meet them all. And that’s when it started…
the reading slump.
After that I just lost all interest in books and that’s when Netflix became one with me. I started binge-watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer. If there’s one tv show I could watch and re-watch a thousand times, it’s Buffy. I mean, Buffy and Angel? YES! I watched all 7 seasons. Because, how could I not? It has the best plot, the best jokes, the best romance EVER. I remember watching it when I was a kid, and I just had the biggest crush on Angel. Poster-glued-to-my-closet-door kind of crush. It’s perfect. It’s my comfort tv show.
Then it was The Flash (the last season), and now Arrow. Jeez. I can’t stop watching them. So, I either keep watching or I read, I can’t do both. But I miss it.
I MISS READING.
I’m ready for this stupid slump to be over.
Have any advice on how to to get out of a reading slump? Leave it in the comments.
I truly need it.
