who & why: Nate or Jack!

16005787If you’ve read the amazing Emi Lost & Found series, then you have your favorite book boyfriend or you could be still struggling about who you like/love the most, right? If this is the case, don’t worry, we understand. It’s hard to pick one when they’re both so amazing. BUT, in our case as we said it on one of our previous posts, the decision was pretty easy from the start ๐Ÿ™‚ (yes, we are Team Nate! You can see our reasons of why we love him here).

Any way… Someone recommended us to create a space so people who’ve read the books could share their thoughts on who’s more awesome and why, Nate or Jack. So here it is :).

So, go ahead! Make a comment on this post telling us if you are Team Nate or Team Jack and why! <3

These are some pictures of how the amazing Lori L. Otto pictured her characters.. We thought the perfect Nate was Chase Crawford, as you can see it on our post :), but how do you picture him? Or Jack?

It’s interesting because most of the time I love the bad boy, the one that got away so to speak. But Jack spoke to me early on, he latched onto my heart and didn’t let go. I just love the way he takes care of his family, his dedication to his parents, his brothers, his nieces and nephews. And then his absolute love and devotion to Emi is unlike anything I’ve ever read. It took so much for him to finally let her go…yet he never gave up on her. Their reunion in the airport with her broken arm and her finally, finally giving herself completely to him…one of the best moments ever. There have been other men like Jack in other books and often I deem them TOO good. But Lori wrote him just right…I love everything about him and that kiss way back in college started it all for this couple. He is the man you want by your side…he is loyal, funloving, romantic, disciplined yet can let loose. He can call me poppet anyday.
Yup, Team Jack all the way!

Thank you for sharing that with us! ๐Ÿ˜€ He is a good man, he truly is. And like we said, he loves Emi deeply, you can see it. I don’t usually care much about “the other guy” of the story, but Jack is so likable, you can’t hate him for loving Emi… Especially the way he does. I just love Nate too much haha :). But I’m truly happy about meeting both Nate and Jack.. and of course, Emi! -Daniela!

Team Nate – because I fell for his boyish charms, his artistic ways, and the passionate way he loved Emi. His carefree spirit is a bit of enigma to me, being the control freak that I am. I guess the saying is true that opposites attract. Where I would probably be more compatible with Jack, I felt drawn to Nate. #teamnate

Yayy Patricia! I’m also team Nate! I totally agree with this. Jack is simply perfect, but it’s always the one that’s rough around the edges to catch your attention haha -Soreonne

110% Team Nate all the way! I have actually always pictured Kris Allen a my Nate. I was Team Nate from the get go! I love his passion, his heart. I love his ability to make mistakes. He knew to learn, you have to live and even fail at things. Making mistakes was alright for him, as long as he learned from them. At the end of the day, as long as he had those closest to him, he was happy. I even love his stubbornness over Emi and those other girls. He is human-no perfect. I love him and all his flaws because at the end of the day, he knew he loved Emi and he got it right. This has deep personal effects on me as I had my own Nate that left me way too early that completely had my heart. I miss him and explaining why I am Team Nate is like trying to explain why I am Team Justin(my Nate). Nate is my book husband and I stake my claim! Lol Lori captured my heart with the creation of Nate and gave me a group to connect with so that I can share my story of my Nate and how I have a part of even in my love for this Nate. #teamnateforever

Wow Casey! Thank you for sharing this with us. I’m all up for team Nate, well, both Soreonne and I. We also love his perfect flaws, his passion and his love for Emi, which is completely pure and intense and so so so beautiful. As you said, at the end of the day, he learned from his mistakes but he always came back to Emi. she was it for him. And Nate is it for us, right? I told Lori after I was done with all three books that for me, Nate is and always will be Emi’s soulmate. There’s no other way. #teamnateforever

Team Jack! While I love Nate as much as the next reader (maybe not as much as Casey does) he’s clearly not “the one”. I hate that he had to go but it wouldn’t have worked any other way – Lori would have made us hate him eventually. So she broke our hearts instead. Such is the world of fiction. Anyhoo – Jack is a close to perfection as you can get. Smart, sexy, strong, sweet, a family man with a good job and sensible car! He is a man, not a boy (sorry, but Nate was a bit of a Peter Pan, but that’s part of what we loved). Jack is exactly what Emi needs when she needs it (let’s face it, she’s kind of a flibberty jibbet!). I love them all and, genius that Lori is, she wrote the perfect story.

You are totally right about Lori writing the perfect story. Even with its ups and downs, this story is incredible. Thank you for your comment Tiffany! ๐Ÿ™‚ Happy new year.

PS: I could never hate Nate ๐Ÿ™‚ haha.

Team Nate all the way! The chemistry between Nate and Emi just blew me away. His art spoke without even being able to see it, but that’s Lori Otto’s awesome writing! There’s just something about him that drew me in from the start… he became more real with his natural mistakes. He screwed up but he had his best friend there to help him recover and he did the same for Emi. I felt like I lost a part of me when he was lost. I cried more than I’ve ever cried reading a book and I’m sure if I do it again, I’ll cry just as much. He touched me and reminded me that we all have that one guy that could have been or was and may still be in your life or may not but Nate is/was amazing and always will be in my eyes.

Awesome comment Leslie! We completely agree with you :).. Whenever I start talking about Nate with Soreonne we both get a hole in our stomach and feel the tears coming out.. Every single time! We miss him soooo much. I’m up for a reread sometime in the near future haha ๐Ÿ™‚

Team Jack!!! From the moment I read about the kiss between Emi and Jack in college I knew something ran very deep between them. His love for her kept him fueled maybe even full in life until they could be together. (my opinion) Jack loves Emi completely. He is patient, kind, compassionate and tolerant in everything about Emi. He loves and accepts everything about her good, bad or otherwise. Really, it’s the damn red tie!!
