Add Drivers to Windows Installation ISO

Add Drivers to Windows Installation ISO

In this video I will show you how to Integrate drivers into a Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10 image, If you are doing this for Windows 10 ISO, you will need to convert the install.esd file to install.wim before we inject our driver packs, i would only recommend you slipstream network adapter drivers and storage drivers.

I will assume you have watch my previous video on convert install.esd to .wim as I wont be covering that part in this video. I will be using a number of tools, all of which are listed below.

1. Windows AIO Maker Professional
2. DISM GUI
3. 7zip
4. Double Driver

You can search and download these or use the link below which is on my forum.

Should i not have extracted it with rufus ? The iso was too large to move to the usb which is why i used rufus to extract

  4. But, during the installation…windows does ask if u want to load drivers; I usually keep a usb fat32 with all the inf: storage, wifi, network, smbus, imei, usb 3, and other chipset drivers… Windows picks them up nicely and installs all of ur OEM drivers.

  9. Well for a couple of drivers it might work, wondering if you try to inject 15GB of drivers for a usb stick so when you install windows from it, it won't matter which system it is. Something like snappy driver pack+windows 10 all in one style 😀

  10. Running DISM GUI as an administrator, I'm trying to mount install.wim's index 2, but get an error:

    "Error: 0xc1420113
The user attempted to mount to a directory that already contained a mounted image. This is not supported."

I've rebooted several times, creating new and/or selecting different empty folders for it to mount to, yet it always has the above error. Interestingly, it worked when I selected index 1.. I was able to mount, then add the driver and commit. I verified in 7-zip that the driver is in sourcesinstall.wim1WindowsSystem32DriverStoreFileRepository. But what could be the issue with index 2?

  12. I wanted to make a Windows 7 ISO with a few security updates pre-installed. I used WinToolKit and WHdownloader to do this. Is that the best way? Or is there an easier method?

  13. I closed out the DISM program and now I cannot delete the mount folder from my desktop. It says I need permission from myself. Any ideas? I have tried everything.
