Book Review: Attachments by Rainbow Rowell

Rainbow Rowell

3.5 stars

Rowell, R. - Attachments‘Attachments’ started off ok, then got a little bit slow and kind of boring (I actually thought about dropping it) but then got a little better. So, yeah, I liked it but I don’t think it’ll be that memorable or remarkable. (Like it was with Eleanor & Park. I’m still swooning over Park haha)

The characters of this book were, hmm well, ok I guess. Lincoln is this shy nice guy, who’s always doing the right thing, or at least trying to. To me, he was kind of simple, he was lacking something, I don’t know, some kind of ‘spark’ to make his development as a character more exciting. Besides, I thought he didn’t really solved his issue with Sam, like, it seems he just replaced her with Beth. There was no real closure between them, since he still thought about his ex girlfriend in some way or another.

In the other hand, Beth and Jennifer were pretty cool. I enjoyed reading their emails, I had fun between Beth’s sarcasm and Jennifer’s paranoia about being pregnant. 🙂
