Daniela’s review

Well, I have to start with the fact that I actually LOVED this book. I found it a few months ago on Goodreads and I thought I might like it. Once I started it, I couldn’t stop reading it.

The book talks about this girl, Samantha, who’s been watching her neighbors for the past 10 years, until this night when one of the kids from next door comes to her. Very quickly she finds herself trusting this guy, who she’s being watching for years but never had the courage to talk to because of her mother, because she couldn’t stand the way that this family works. She couldn’t stand or, actually understand, the beauty of the Garrett family. The days pass by and she can’t seem to stay away from Jase Garrett, and the way they just fall in love is just so…amazing.

The thing that drew me in with this book was its cover. Its simplicity called out to me. The colors and the couple, they just look so happy. I instantly wanted to read it.

I liked the way that the author describes Samantha’s feelings towards Jase and every situation she has to struggle with, with her mom, her best friend, her mom’s boyfriend. One of my favorite characters, besides Sam and Jase, of course, was George. He’s so damn cute. He’s one of Jase’s younger brothers, and he’s always worrying of stuff no 4 year old should be worrying about (black holes, tornadoes, who his bother’s gonna marry, etc.) but he does it with so much innocence. It’s just adorable.

It’s a girls book, obviously, but I enjoyed it very very much.
